- Spend several years, and thousands of dollars, and go back to school to get a degree in marketing.
- Spend several years studying and practicing, often times at great expense, and learn on your own (as I did).
- Hire someone to help shorten the learning curve.
While there is some up front expense, I can assure you that option number 3 will be the least expensive of the 3. Someone to consult with you, answer any questions you may have, and send you on the right path can be invaluable. Consultation rates vary, but usually include at least a monthly consult with you to see if there are any concerns.
